Man you're great!! I was wondering is the question: In your videos you really are alone on the roads and in the shelters or is it just for the "purpose" videos.
Otherwise, aside from the fact that obviously this weekend you were the only one to brave the weather which is quite understandable, how do you explain the lack of attendance trails you career? Coincidence? altitude? distance / time from civilization? low concentration of the latter south of the island? Lack of interest?
I thought the Kiwis were fully open air but when you see your video it looks like aside from a few fanatics endangered Kiwi's do not know their (s) island (s )???? Or is it the classic syndrome of "I know better than me with you" kind ...
Because then one wonders who could have put this waste in nature ...;)
If you have the answer .... On the potential nature of these malevolent beings ...?? Anyway thank you for the video and as Arthur said in a previous comment, your ankle incredible! Have you traveled to 100 %????
actually, there are few people hikers now, at least kiwi (nickname that is given to New Zealanders). I occasionally meet other hikers, but the most part, I often find myself alone on the road, and the "cabanas." we must also say that I do not choose the most popular hikes, and more, right now, it's not the season of the hike: 0 ° it was all day in my cabin, the days are short ( 8am-5pm). But even in high season, there's much less crowded than in the European Alps, much less! there are only 4 million kiwis, and 3 / 4 are in the North Island! it already limits attendance paths ... I personally prefer!
and yes my ankle is made of 100%! it's too good! I am a happy man again!

Great ... it really gives the energy to start the day. I love your ability to make against-time weather moments of life too.
