Expedition on Mt Blanc

Published by Arian at 23:06 Under Mt Blanc 2010

Here we go again! Our planet deserves an effort ALWAYS!

I'm at the foot of Mont Blanc, more motivated than ever to succeed in this deployment covering the summit. In 2007, I had tried 4 times, but each attempt, the weather (wind and snow) prevented me from carrying out this project. I put this little video on the internet at the time:

We are now in 2010, and I'm back for another attempt ... which promises to not tip top for now: it's raining! Which means that snow at higher elevations and therefore I can not ride for now. Patience patience ... I'll take the opportunity to get acclimated well. 4810m is not nothing and risks are present at 3500m altitude. Therefore remain vigilant!

Here is the weather for the coming days:

TOMORROW - Monday, May 10
Thinning possible in the morning - showers
SKY CONDITIONS (cloud - sunshine): mostly cloudy in the morning - becoming mostly cloudy or overcast - period of sunshine close to 40%.
PRECIPITATION: showers in the afternoon - rain-snow limit towards 2400 m up.
WIND - aloft: SW moderate.
TEMPERATURE: 6 ° C min - max 16 ° C.
Tuesday, May 11
Many clouds - showers
SKY CONDITIONS (cloud - sunshine): mostly cloudy - sunshine close to 10%.
PRECIPITATION: showers - more frequent and severe in the afternoon.
WIND - aloft: SW moderate to strong.
TEMPERATURE: stationary.
LIKELY UNTIL FRIDAY 14 MAI 2010
Wednesday to Friday: variable - showers and sunny spells - very uncertain.

Stay motivated, we acculturate, and try as soon as weather permits.

Have you seen (very briefly) the sweeper of the peaks in the issuance of Thalassa Friday, April 30?? This is my grandmother who told me about!

    Hi Arian

This is the holy ice right now, time will not be very good few days.

Patience, good weather will come back later. We are all with you. Everyone wants to ride with you in a paraglider!

We wish you full of courage and success for your action.

    Cheers Arian

Courage Arian! it always follows your adventures via the web very carefully ... The weather is rather rotten this weekend (ice saints) while it is still postponed??
One of our children who never leaves nine years in the mountains without a plastic bag (... and a pair of gloves!) ... It pays off all your little video ...
    Good luck,
    Family Deman
