Sorin thank you to my friend for helping me to film.
I had to go back!
Starting at midnight in the village of Les Houches (1100m) with 18kg on your back. Taste of arrival at the refuge (3800m) at 6:30. One-hour break to eat and drink, warm up, put on my crampons, I left and hop ...
At 11:20, I reached the summit of Mt Blanc in altitude after 3700M. And that's what it gave:
Our planet deserves an effort!
I stayed at the top an hour, and I began my descent. I got to my car at 7:40 p.m..
A marathon day for a project that was close to my heart!
Hello, After a successful acclimatization than mid-October, weather arrived in force. I found myself in the rain (lots of rain!), And then a completely cloudy sky, and finally, in the snow (again a lot of snow)!
it's been 10 days that I waited to go back, and 60cm of snow fell in one day at 3000m. The heavy snowfall made the avalanche conditions, so much too dangerous. The weather did not seem to get better right away.
So I decided to go home. The Mt Blanc did not want to reach my project this time. It will take just that I go back ... maybe this winter!
Meanwhile, the search for sponsors continues today. The answers are negative for now. But I persevere!
I'll let you watch these images of those days in the mountains ...
I am back in the Alps after three weeks of rest for my knee which were necessary and sufficient! Monday, I started slowly, but nevertheless with a certain altitude, as I climbed to the top of Buet (3100m), known as the Mt Blanc des Dames. During this event, I picked up a plastic bag full of waste. From up there and stayed, I could watch the beautiful and majestic Mt Blanc!
Mounted on the Aiguille du Midi (3842m) on Wednesday for a simple seasoning, with a night in tent on the Vallée Blanche, the call of the summits was the strongest, and I am left at 4am in the footsteps of snowy Mt Blanc .
I let you discover it in pictures:
I am acclimatized and ready to take my large canvas at the top, loud and clear (in 8 languages):
"Our planet deserves an effort."
I expect the next weather window for this project that I hold so dear. So patience and determination ...
It's always a pleasure to see and to contemplate Chamonix Mt Blanc ... the famous Mont Blanc which occupies the head with my project since 2007 to tarp. Below "crash tent at 2200m overlooking the Chardonnet (left) and the Aiguille Verte and Dru (right).
To thank the mountain, I continue my efforts to sweep the peaks ... here with a curious cow!
To acclimatize, I made two trips: one to Lac Blanc (2300m) and the Tête Rousse hut (3000m). I picked up garbage on my way, everything was fine ... until the descent of "red head" excruciating pain which appeared at my left knee. I had to stop every 50m so it hurt to lose balance and be about to pass out. Fearful that pain! It took me 2:30 to go up and down for over 4 hours! Imagine ...
A specialist diagnosed an inflammation of the cartilage underneath the patella. I am as anti-inflammatory medications for 10 days and I have 3 weeks off! Cause of injury: an overflow of accumulated efforts!
So I'm resting "physical" until early October. So I will use this time to find sponsors in Paris. Caution Capital and sponsors, here I am!
In the meantime, here's a video of the beginning of acclimation ...
So I head to Paris (with my big sister) to find sponsors.
It's not for now this project on Mt Blanc. I prefer not to take risks and thus be able to try (and succeed) this project in October. When the mountain you to wait, we must listen.
I know the conditions of Mt Blanc in October, I'll be more comfortable. I reached the summit early in November 2007 for the same project (see photo attached), but then the weather had deteriorated. At that time, it's colder (in 2007 I had -12 ° to 3800m, the summit was even colder), there is no snow slide spring (like now), and winds are weaker (usually ...). It will be much better like conditions! So it will be in October ... I hope you always follow this adventure!
So I'm going back to La Baule, enjoy the Atlantic Ocean (nothing like a good saltwater swimming ...):), and prepare my business expeditions ...
Indeed, for the summer months, I am going to review the Gasherbrum PAKISTAN. And yes again! I'll find two bottles of oxygen at the summit at 8000m and 7000m waste that Korea has abandoned last summer (when I was there). This expedition is part of a television (Special Envoy) and funded by Lambert Wilson! It is not yet a sponsor, but it's a start! I will capitalize on it and go to potential sponsors to Paris to finally find support for my project EDELWEISS! Come on, you believe!
You'll see in a few months, I will write a note with the title "The Sweeper Canopy has found a sponsor." Then the EDELWEISS project (6 months for cleaning, and 5 months of intervention in schools over a period of 5 years) begin! I still believe, for the simple reason that ...
